The lodge had a rustic charm with cozy decor and offered beautiful scenic views of the lake that made for a pleasant backdrop to any gathering. The outdoor spaces included hammocks and fire pits, providing a great way to unwind at the end of the day, along with delightful moments watching the resident goats roam.
While the property is picturesque, noise from the resident peacock can be quite disruptive, making the promised tranquility feel elusive—definitely a potential concern for light sleepers. The breakfast buffet featured a decent selection, yet the quality suffered with tough sausage patties and pancakes. Some areas of the lodge felt outdated and could use a refresh. the lounge lacked a vibrant atmosphere, giving it a too-quiet vibe that made it less inviting for socializing.

First off, the Bernese Fries at Seasons Restaurant were a game changer—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and oh-so-addictive! Plus, our stay in the Lodge King Room with Balcony was a total delight, with elegant touches and a comfy vibe. The property’s lush grounds and peaceful lake made for the ultimate chill spot.
The breakfast buffet had a stellar spread, but those sausage patties and pancakes? Tough as nails! Still, the overall experience sparkled bright amidst a few hiccups.

Perfect for Couples Seeking Adventure
We had an amazing time kayaking on the serene lake, and the staff there was friendly and helpful. The restaurant on-site was excellent, making each meal feel like an event, the brunch was to die for!
Sure, it wasn't exactly a bargain but not too steep for the experience we got.

Perfect getaway for couples!
Had such a nice time here! The beautiful grounds are so peaceful, and we loved kayaking on the lake. The breakfast spread was really tasty, too! Only thing was the room could use some updates. the AC struggled a bit. But honestly, that didn’t ruin our experience at all.

Beautiful grounds and exceptional restaurant experience
I recently enjoyed a stay in the Woodward House, which was exceptionally clean and cozy, just like home. The grounds were beautifully maintained, and I loved spending time by the peaceful lake and interacting with the cute goats and sheep. The dining experience at the Seasons restaurant was truly outstanding, with fresh and delicious meals that made each dining moment enjoyable. However, the heating system in the room was a bit noisy at times, which interrupted our sleep during the night.

perfect base for exploring parks and local landmarks
The grounds were incredibly well kept, and I loved being able to easily walk to the park at flat rock and the nearby firefly craft gallery to soak in the beauty of the area. however, the breakfast buffet had some tough sausage and pancakes that could use a little improvement.
